What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores for a website. It can’t run code or carry a virus. Some tools keep similar data in your browser’s local storage; we treat that the same way as cookies.
How we use cookies
The site itself sets one cookie: the one that remembers your cookie choice. Everything else comes from tools we load through Google Tag Manager, and only after you say yes:
- Statistics: Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are read and how visitors find us.
- Marketing: Meta and LinkedIn, so we can measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited the site.
Until you choose, and if you reject, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all, so none of these tools run. We also use Google Consent Mode, which passes your choice on to Google’s tools.
With JavaScript turned off in your browser, the site works as normal and none of these tools run.
Videos
Videos show a still image until you press play. The player then loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the cookies this site set for that category and reload the page. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we change the tools we use.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you use more than one browser or device, you need to do it in each one.
