What we collect, and why
When you contact us
The contact forms ask for your email address and a message, and some also ask for your name and website. We use them to answer you and, if it makes sense for both of us, to talk about working together. The legal basis is that you asked us to get in touch before a possible contract (GDPR article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (article 6(1)(f)).
When you ask for a free guide
The guide forms on our articles ask for your email address. We email you the guide and add you to savvytactics, our weekly newsletter, as the form tells you. We also note which guide you asked for. The legal basis is your consent (article 6(1)(a)). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to unsubscribe.
When you apply for a job
The application form asks for your name, email address, LinkedIn profile, a message and, if you choose, your CV. We use them to assess your application. The legal basis is that you asked us to consider you before a possible employment contract (article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in recruiting (article 6(1)(f)). Please don’t include your CPR number or sensitive information such as health data in your application.
What every form submission includes
With each submission we also record the time, the page you sent it from, your browser’s user agent, the country Cloudflare sees the request coming from, and whether the spam check passed. We use this to handle the submission and to spot spam (legitimate interest, article 6(1)(f)).
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending them. Turnstile looks at technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping spam out (article 6(1)(f)).
Statistics and marketing cookies
If you accept them, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, and Meta and LinkedIn to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. These tools collect data such as the pages you view, your device and browser, an approximate location based on your IP address, and an identifier stored in a cookie. The legal basis is your consent (article 6(1)(a)). Nothing is loaded before you say yes, and you can withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Our cookie policy lists every cookie.
Visiting the site
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of each request, and protects the site against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (article 6(1)(f)).
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal data. We use these kinds of providers, who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Hosting and security: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores form submissions and CVs, and runs the spam check.
- Automation: n8n, which passes form submissions on to the tools below and emails you the guide you asked for.
- Google Workspace, our email, where we answer you.
- Notion, where we keep track of enquiries and applications.
- Kit, which sends savvytactics.
- The analytics and marketing tools listed above, only if you accept cookies.
Some of these providers are based in, or use subprocessors in, the United States. When data leaves the EU/EEA, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or by the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Every form submission is kept in a backup store at Cloudflare and deleted automatically after 180 days. It exists so that no enquiry is lost if delivery to our inbox fails.
- Enquiries in our email and in Notion are kept for as long as we are talking with you or working together, and deleted when we no longer need them.
- Your newsletter email address is kept until you unsubscribe.
- CVs are stored at Cloudflare and deleted automatically after 180 days. Applications in our email and in Notion are kept while we assess your application, and deleted when we no longer need them for that.
- Cookie lifetimes are listed in our cookie policy.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you
- have wrong data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict how we use your data
- object to how we use your data when we rely on our legitimate interest
- get the data you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it
Write to hello@savvyrevenue.com to use any of these rights. We answer within one month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk. We’d appreciate the chance to fix it first, so please write to us too.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Form submissions and CVs are stored with Cloudflare, and only the people at savvyrevenue who need them have access.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top.
